A letter to Spring.

Dearest Spring,
Are you coming soon?  We are waiting patiently for you.
We can only watch so many episodes of Blues Clues and Dora.
Mommy is tired of cleaning the house and playing with little cars.
She wants to play in the garden and plant flowers.
Alex wants to dig in the dirt and get his fingernails black.
Lily wants to eat the grass.
Sarah wants to plant sunflowers.
Daddy wants to watch mommy mow the lawn. ;)

We miss you and are sorry we wanted it to snow before Christmas.
We hope that we haven't offended you and made you stay away from us for so long.
We really do like you the best.

Sincerely,
The Sandersons

p.s.
We have included a picture of our daily activity to show you how serious we are in wanting you back.  ;)

Winter.

Here are some beautiful pictures Dave took this morning.  We haven't seen grass since the first snow in December.  It is beautiful, but hopefully will start to melt soon.

LEGO Morning.

This morning Alex, Lily, and I played LEGO's.  Lily likes to fill up the bucket then pour them on herself.  Alex is enjoying building things and could spend hours with LEGO's.

Alex built this giant LEGO flower and asked if we could put it on the blog.  He was so cute, how could I resist.

p.s.
He also helped me edit the picture. :)

Happy Birthday Lily!

Lily turned 1 year old today. My baby is growing up so fast. We had a fun day with wonderful presents from grandparents and good food.

Lily's Grandma and Grandpa Sanderson gave her some very nice wooden puzzles that all of the kids had fun playing with.

Lily's Oma and Grandpa Bill gave her a cute Cat that Oma knitted, a new outfit, and a walking stroller. She was walking up and down the kitchen as soon as she got it.

She was a very spoiled kid.  Thanks for all of the nice gifts!!

She loved eating her cake.  I made a separate little cake just for her to dig into...and she did just that.  Her sister and brother laughed and laughed as she got messier and messier.  She thought it was a fun game.

Each of my kids are a gift.  I enjoy each day with them.  Lily is such a cute and fun baby.  I love her so much.

Happy Birthday little girl!
