Spring Break Part 1: House of Bounce
Some friends invited us to join them at the House of Bounce on Tuesday. They have all kinds of inflatable slides and the kids loved it. They were totally sweaty afterward. The kids had a great time and loved playing with their friends. Here are some pictures. Enjoy.

David's 10k
Dave ran a 10k today as part of his training for his marathon in May. He ran it really fast and got 2nd place with a time of 38 minutes. It was freezing cold and windy, so if it was warm we are sure he would have won. :) Here are some pictures. It was here in town and so the kids played on the playground while we waited.
The kids loved playing on the playground until the race started.

What We've Been up to...
This week we all have had a little bout of the stomach flu. Some had it worse than others. Lily had the hardest time with it. Dave thankfully didn't get sick so he carried a lot of the clean up load. We are all feeling better now.
We had our first warm week in Minnesota and it felt like spring. Half of the snow has melted. It rained last night and today so the grass that doesn't have snow on it is turning green. My Snowbells are blooming and looking so cute outside my window. This next week is supposed to get cold again, but hopefully it won't last too long.
Yesterday we did some shopping and cleaned the house. Dave and I both enjoyed long Saturday runs. It was a beautiful day. The kids enjoyed playing Starwars Wii and trying to unlock more people. We watched the NCAA playoffs in the evening and enjoyed being together.
This afternoon after Church everyone took a nap...except Sarah she is an early riser and no nap kid. We made cookies after dinner together. Here are a few pictures. Enjoy.

Lily's First Braids
I braided Lily's hair on Sunday for the first time. It was a milestone in two ways: First, she actually sat still long enough for me to braid it and Second, that she had thick enough hair to keep up. It looked cute all morning until her afternoon nap when she pulled them out. Here are some pictures.
An Update on Sarah
We had to take Sarah to the ER yesterday because she was running a high temp of 105 and had a swollen face and head. She had a cold all week and then on Thursday started running a temp that slowly has increased even with Tylenol/Motrin. So yesterday I took her to the ER when we couldn't get her temp down. It was 105.
They did a CT scan and found Acute Sinusitis. It hadn't spread to her brain (which is very good) and there wasn't a blockage (also good), but it was a bad infection and she was put on a very high dose of antibiotics in her IV. They said it was just behind the eye and nose and was close to the brain so they wanted to make sure to started antibiotics quickly.
She is home now and we just have to watch her for any pain and continue with the antibiotics. She woke up this morning with a 105 temp, but we right away gave her some medicine and she is feeling better. The swelling is still there she looks a little funny. We are just watching it closely and hoping she gets better.
She will be fine. She is a tough little kid, but it was a little scary at times.
